Finally, a huge thank you to Stratford Town Trust for all of the incredible support they have given us, and continue to give us, here at Heart of England Mencap.
We recently hosted a party, which was a real hit with our customers, to celebrate the Queen’s 90th Birthday; they provided the funding for that. This along with grants for equipment and activities for Pathway Day Services, really helps to keep our customers busy, enriching their lives.
We recently were able to purchase IPads for our customers, to be used for a photography project, culminating in a fantastic exhibition, together with costumes for a production of Shakespeare, and some useful First Aid training for our Forest School, all funded by Stratford Town Trust.
Thank you Anna Kingsley and ‘The Friends’ for setting up an incredible Zumbathon to raise money for six gardening boxes ‘Theo’s Gift’, to go out to our services so they can begin growing their own vegetables!
Over 40 people turned out to shake and shimmy for 2 hours, raising an amazing £484!
A very special thanks goes to Julie Dredge from CarpetWise who contributed nearly £100 to the total raised, and Angela and Wendy, our lovely Zumba teachers, who gave up their Saturday afternoon for free!
